God isn't punishing you. He's pruning you.

expect God to deal with our sin and selfishness. But what happens when He begins asking for things that aren't wrong, like a cherished relationship, a role that gave us purpose, or a future we thought was settled? Jesus said the Father prunes the branches that bear fruit, and that should change the way we view loss.
